T’ai Chi: Tuesday afternoon, St. Michael’s Church Hall, Colehill
Back to:  Activities   Programme
T’ai Chi consists of a series of graceful, energising movements which are easy to learn and promote increased joint flexibility; breathing; posture and relaxation whilst increasing overall physical mobility.

Each session contains warm-up exercises, some history of T’ai Chi and concludes with a brief period of meditation.
Members spent a beautiful afternoon at Badbury Rings.

No special clothing is required - simply wear something comfortable and loose fitting and socks.

The sessions last for an hour.
There are three separate sessions:

Beginners : 2:20 pm to 3:20 pm
Advanced: 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm;
Self Help Workshop: 3:25 pm to 4:25 pm

On completion of the two year course, students are invited to join the Tai Chi workshop in which the form they have learned may be perfected and kept up to date. In addition, new skills of practising the form in a mirror image at differing speeds, of working in pairs and of applying the form to the martial arts will be examined.
The Leader saw a group of singers performing
at various spots in the grounds of Kingston Lacy House and thought how nice it would be to do the same with Tai Chi.

The group is appearing on the Summer 2011 Kingston Lacy Programme.

Here is the final date:

20 September.
