Spanish: Wednesday afternoon, Town Hall
The aim is to make the classes informal and friendly and see learning as a collaborative process where no one is afraid to ask questions
or comment.

Once new vocabulary is taught, the emphasis is on speaking and practising and encouragement given to pair work and listening to authentic speakers. There is very little writing (except for student notes) and only relevant grammar is taught.
You are welcome to come along and give it a try.
“it’s a good mix of conversation and grammar’”
“I like the way the Course accommodates beginners as well as more advanced”
“nobody minds if you make mistakes as we learn from each other”
“it’s friendly and good fun”
“the Spanish has been brought alive with relevant topics”
The U3A Spanish Course was started in January 2007 as a Beginners Course.

It has now progressed to its fourth year as many of this beginners group wished to continue.
