SEWING CIRCLE Back to: Programme
Methodist Church, 1:15 pm to 3.15 pm
Meeting in the Methodist Church, this is a very friendly group who do a variety of needlework - knitting, embroidery, dress-making, crocheting, tapestry and lace making are just some of the activities.
If you have something that you thought you would never finish bring it along and enjoy the support of other members encouraging you to complete it.
Enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit while you work and chat.
There is very limited free parking outside the door so it is easy to bring in any frames or sewing machines you may need.
This group meets at 2:15 pm to 4:15 pm in members' houses in rotation, and from necessity
there is a limit on numbers.
Members bring along any form of needlework - from needlepoint, cross stitch or tapestry work
to knitting or crochet.
We also have demonstrations from time to time.
Such is the popularity of this subject that a third group has been formed,
again meeting in members’ homes from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
once a fortnight.
Members bring along projects currently in progress such as tapestry, knitting, quilting and patchwork.
We also have occasional demonstrations of Spinning, Weaving, Japanese Embroidery, etc.
