Local Drama: days and times to be arranged
Back to:  Activities   Programme
The Local Drama group enjoys the theatre and, rather than travelling further afield, visit plays staged locally by good amateur or professional touring companies within the immediate area (within 10 miles).
Included in the programme is everything from Shakespearean tragedy to modern farce.

The frequency of visits varies depending on what is on at any particular time, but is usually about once a month.
So far the group has ventured out to quite a number of village halls and the occasional community centre, college or school - in fact anywhere with a reasonable stage!
Members’ own transport is used, sharing whenever possible.
Frequent visits have been made to the local Tivoli Theatre.

When summer comes (with its warm, dry weather?) the group enjoys seeing plays performed at outdoor venues.
Most of the visits are in the evenings, but if there is a Matinee that is sometimes preferred.

The cost of tickets is never very great and the group usually qualifies for concessionary prices.
Anyone who expresses an interest in the group is listed and will receive a programme for each term.

Each member can choose whether or not to book for any particular event.
