Strings, Piano, Brass, Reeds; and

Geographic regions:
New Orleans, London, UK, Europe

It is planned to delve further into those and similar topics in the future.

Members began by looking at a series of videos on the history of Jazz since the late 1800s by the American Ken Burns

Members are encouraged to bring along their own recordings - vinyl, tape and CDs (sadly not Wax Cylinders !!) and this ensures that a wide variety of tastes are catered for.
