French: Tuesday or Wednesday, Town Hall, Liberal Hall and CLARC, Wimborne
Intermediate French
This fortnightly group in the Town Hall includes conversation, reading, writing, pronunciation and grammar with a view to gaining greater fluency with the language, beyond exercises like booking hotels and ordering meals, to discussion on more substantial topics.
It could be a challenge, but it will be fun, and if you have done reasonably well at elementary level and are willing to do some work between classes, this is an opportunity to learn from making even bigger mistakes in a safe and friendly atmosphere!
The self - help French group first began when no Leader was available and is now going from strength to strength. This year a third group is to begin in CLARC, King Street.
Meeting in the Liberal Hall the established groups, can now converse in French with a little help from the English language, hands, arms, dictionaries and a large number of "ums" and "ers".
The aim is to make the learning process enjoyable, social and fun. The sessions are loosely based around a book
and suggested U3A CD language course.
Members make individual contributions each week
with an emphasis on language practice but
without the pressure in an informal atmosphere.
Riez et Apprenez ( Laugh and Learn).
